The Moomin Valley is situated somewhere in an imaginary kingdom in what might best be described as a parallel world. To the inhabitants of the Moomin Valley, this place is gigantic and an exotic paradise of mountains, forests, oceans and islands. Anything can happen here. Sometimes things may even feel a little scary in the Moomin Valley, but there is always the underlying safety in the knowledge that all stories have a happy ending.
The tales of the Moomintrolls consist of a number of characters, one being Moomin, the most famous of them all. Moomin is living his life to the fullest and regard his surroundings with a sense of wonder at the joy of such simple things as collecting beautiful pebbles and shells. Other characters of the tales are Little My, Snorkmaiden, Moominmamma and Moominpappa.
